Geography

At Boutcher, our geography curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and deepen children’s understanding of the world around them. We equip pupils with the knowledge and skills to explore both their local environment and the wider world, helping them make sense of the diverse places, people, and processes that shape our planet.

Through engaging, enquiry-led lessons, children learn about physical and human geography, natural and human-made environments, and the challenges of sustainability and global change.

We want our children to leave us with a strong sense of place, a respect for the environment, and a growing awareness of their role as global citizens.

We also make the most of our local area and enrich learning through hands-on fieldwork and educational visits, bringing geography to life beyond the classroom
