Theme for the year - The Fruit of the Spirit

This year our whole school theme is the fruit of the Spirit, which was launched with a wonderful community afternoon. This introduced the idea of the physical benefits of fruit to our bodies and also the mental and spiritual benefits of the fruit of the Spirit to our wellbeing.

The fruit of the Spirit was given by God to strengthen and help Christians navigate life. We believe as a school that at this time of increasing uncertainty, it is important now more than ever, to equip ourselves with these 9 fruits, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.

Each week, we will spend time in our classes exploring a fruit. We will consider the teachings of the bible and in keeping with our schools values, consider how we can be more like Jesus in our daily lives by applying each fruit.

Collective Worship Opportunities

On a Tuesday morning, children will participate in classroom worship which will include opportunities for children to hear a story from the bible, consider the implications of the teaching on their own lives and our wider community, carry out a related activity and have the opportunity to pray.

On Wednesday mornings, we will participate in an online whole school service. We will come together as a family and share in a time of worship, led by Reverend Charlie Moore. Classes will take it in turns to read a bible passage, pray and share their activities from Tuesday’s classroom worship. A small number of children will also sing.

In addition to these two worship opportunities, we will also meet as a school virtually on Monday and Thursday mornings.

We are sure you, like us, are missing coming to services at the moment and therefore, we will post on this page with updates from our services so you can join in with us.
