What achievement are you most proud of and how did you work towards being successful in it? Or perhaps you have an achievement you are working towards at the moment. If so, what are you doing to ensure you reach it?
The achievement that I’m most proud of is getting to sing at Southwark Cathedral with the school choir and singing with some other schools as well. Another thing I’m proud of is when I went to Appleby House to show my art work I did with Ed Gray. I appreciate to learn about art and textures. The other thing I’m proud of is when I was able to do piano lessons with Mrs Lam. I’m still learning but I’m getting used to it and I’m also getting more experienced. My dream job is to become a musician because I have an ear for music. I’m also proud that I was able to get 100% in my spelling test last week. I’m grateful to have a teacher like Miss Simmons and TAs like Cathy, Jemma and Mohammed.
Zionni (Year 5)
One achievement I'm really proud of is learning to play the guitar. I remember feeling overwhelmed at first because I didn’t know how to play even a single note. But I worked hard, practicing a little bit every day. I started by learning simple chords and then slowly built up to more difficult songs. It took months, but with each small step, I felt more confident. Now, I can play a few of my favourite songs, and I’m still learning new techniques.
Right now, I’m working on improving my speed and accuracy. To do that, I practice with a metronome, which helps me keep a steady rhythm. I also make sure to take breaks so my fingers don’t get too tired. I'm excited to see how much more I can improve over the next few months!
