KS2 Weekly Junior comments
This week, you were asked to watch a short video that explains what the Autumn Budget is and why it matters.
What things do you think are most important for a country to spend money on and why?
Ava (Year 5)
I think we should spend money on schools because children need a healthy education to be successful people in the future, not just children but everyone.
We need schools for children to understand life and things that can happen.
Schools do not just teach people how to learn, they also teach them how to be the kind generous people.
I think we need to spend money on homes because not everybody has a home to be welcomed into and to live in so I think it is a need to spend money on homes because everybody deserves to be treated the right way.
Lastly, I think we should spend money on hostels so that the homeless have a place to stay warm on cold and windy nights and to know that they have a place to stay when they need it.
Jack (Y4)
I think the most important thing is the NHS because they help people to get better by giving them medication & operations if they need them. They also looked after my Mum when she had my baby brother & made sure he was born safely. Also, more money should be given to the police to keep our streets safe.
