KS2 Homework comments
Did you know that the Royal Mint — the official maker of UK coins — is releasing a brand-new coin to celebrate a much-loved and iconic board game?
Imagine you’ve been chosen to design a new coin to celebrate something special — it could be an event, a person, a time of year, or anything you think deserves to be remembered. What would your coin celebrate, and why?
Arielle Palmer-Simba
I would put important women from around the world on my coin because women weren't allowed to work because of their gender and they have done a lot of good things. Florence Nightingale helped everyone when they were hurt at war. I would also put Remembrance Day on a coin because of all the lives that were sacrificed for us and to keep us safe so we must remember all the soldiers.
Alma Gilbertson
I would choose Dolly Parton to put on a coin because she is my favourite singer and she’s so popular around the world. Dolly Parton is also kind-hearted because she donates children’s books. These are not her old books but they’re books that she buys with her own money, and she gives them to young children. I find that good-natured because I think reading is an important skill in life.

Hard copies of School Policies,
including Safeguarding are available from the office and can be read online.
