KS2 Homework Comments

Two animal charities - The RSPCA and Cats Protection - have suggested that cat cafes should be phased out, which means stopped or closed down over time.

What are your thoughts? Do you like cat cafes? Perhaps you have been to one yourself. Do you think there should be stricter rules for cat cafes or do you think they should close altogether?

I went to a cat cafe when I was younger (6) with my older sister. In my opinion, they should definitely not close or add stricter rules because they are really comfortable and comforting to society and cats. The cats have a playful atmosphere that brightens the cafe. It was delightful, and I would probably go again (it was in India, by the way).

Harsh (Year 4)

I believe cat cafes should not be phased out. I think this because cat cafes may be beneficial to people who enjoy cats and can’t personally own one. On the contrary, like said in the article, it says that the welfare of cats may be at stake due to the fact that they can’t be cared for specifically. Overall, I think they should continue the idea of them, but change how they are cared for.

Denilia (Year 5)
