KS2 Weekly Junior comments

We're at the start of a brand new year, which is a great time to think about what's ahead.

As we begin the year, what are you most looking forward to? Have you made any goals or resolutions about something you'd like to try or improve on this year?

Evangeline (Year 5)

I’m looking forward to learning a new language. I’m learning Greek properly so I can talk to my nan and I can be my mum’s translator on holiday! I’m looking forward to seeing my buddies grow up and get more confident. I also want to get more confident in verbal reasoning and history as I want to be able to speak up for myself. I’m also focused on getting my green belt in kickboxing and improving my football skills.

Imelda (Year 5)

One thing that I am most looking forward to is going to Argentina because I only go there once a year and when we get there, I bet we are just going to jump right into the swimming pool and start having fun before we even unpacked our things.
One other thing that I am really looking forward to is going to more Irish Dancing competitions with my best friend Connie who is really good at dancing. The reason that I am soooooo excited is because when I dance it feels that I am free and that there is no need to be frightened or scared because I know that if you imagine that nobody is there and you are just at home practising you will be confident and you might even win.
I am also looking forward to my buddie and the others growing up nicely and that their education is better so when they are in year one they will already know a lot (they are all soooooooooo cute).
I am also looking forward to getting better at maths so I can be good at doing complex things like Catherine Jonsen.
One more thing that I am looking forward to in 2026 is learning Spanish fluently so I can speak to my family confidently and we can have funny jokes and lovely chats.
I am looking forward to getting my higher grades in piano.
