Join us to make… THE BEST CHUTNEY in the WORLD!
A fun, hands-on creative afternoon for families 🌶️🥭🎨
Come along for a playful and imaginative workshop where we’ll be:
Making art together!
Get stuck into drawing and collaging as we explore the different flavours and stories found in our neighbourhood.
Tasting and imagining!
We’ll be sampling seasonal ingredients from local allotments, the orchard, nearby shops — and using our imaginations to invent a chutney full of memories, flavour, and fun!
✨ This is a drop-in session, open to everyone – no need to book.
🕛 Pop in any time between 12pm–4pm to join the fun!
Activities are suitable for all ages. Children under 16 must be with a parent or carer.

KS2 Weekly Junior comments
The government has said that by 2029, every primary school in the UK will have its own school library. Right now, more than 1,700 schools don’t have one.
Why do you think it’s important for every primary school child to have a library at their school? What’s your favourite thing to do when you visit the library - reading, exploring, or maybe finding weird and wonderful facts? Do you have a favourite memory of something you have done or discovered in the library?
Nathan (Year 4)
My favourite thing to do in the library is to find the comic book pile and have some laughs and giggles while reading. I think every school must have libraries because libraries are a place to calm down, and a place to find knowledge and wonder.
Aaliyah (Year 5)
I love our library because it allows me and my friends to go to a place that is quiet and learn about different types of texts. It could be a cook book, something about Lego or a David Walliams book. It gives me a space to relax and enjoy a good book which keeps me focused. I think it's quite important that all primary schools have a school library. Children are able to take books from the library and take a book they have chosen which they can read. Some people don't have books in their home so it would help children who don't have them. My favourite thing to do when I visit our school library is when Hazel puts us in a group and we read together, and we all pass the book around we read aloud. My favourite memory in the library is when it was Carols leaving party and we had a tea party.
