comments of the week

Thank you for all the responses to our most recent question.

Well done to Elsa in Year 5 and Hannah in Year 6 for your winning responses!

If you could be at the world’s biggest climate change meeting, what questions would you ask?

Questions I would like to ask at CO29:
1. Is it fair that countries that don't emit a lot of co2 have to deal with the consequences of too much co2 (for example hot weather to point that it can burn down entire forest taking down lot of habitats for animals) that other countries have produced.
2. Is it fair that rich people with private jets take such short flights which produce lots of co2 emissions for example the kardashians set a world record for the shortest flight ever which was about thirty seconds long and could have been driven in a car in less than thirty minutes?

(Elsa, Year 5)

I’m an Eco Warrior and I think this article is especially important. Climate change has a colossal impact to the earth.  This is because of some people’s irresponsible intentions to utilise too much electricity or cutting down forests to build things like farms. It’s also caused by the lack of people walking or cycling to school instead of using transportation regularly—even though you live nearby! Climate change is caused by things such as heat waves or extreme weather events like rainfalls. In addition to that, it damages animals homes, which is mostly why some animals sadly become more extinct. As a result here is some questions I would ask if I was in a COP29

•. How do you feel about climate change—any thoughts about putting an end to it?
•What would you do if you saw someone about to attempt to do something that causes climate change?

(Hannah, Year 6)
