KS2 Homework comments of the week
Do shops start Christmas too early?
Congratulations to Rose Y3 and Elsa Y4 for their comments of the week!
Rose Year 3
I do think that shops are selling things for Christmas too early and because of this we have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas shouldn't be about presents or being prepared, Mary wasn't prepared, she had to leave her home to give birth in a stable with all the animals! Christmas is about celebrating the birth of our Lord, spending time with family and remembering the important things in life, not about presents or being prepared for what is just one day in the year!
Elsa Year 4
Yes. Because there are other celebrations like Halloween and bonfire night that come first. I think shops should start in middle of November so that people have a break after bonfire night and Halloween. I think Christmas wouldn't be that special if it already starts in August because by the time Christmas comes people are already sick of Christmas treats and decorations. Christmas is supposed to start in winter when it's dark and ❄ cold
Mr Jenkins would like to say that overall the quality of comments from Year 3 in particular were great this week – best in the school!
